I have a newfound love of herb bouquets. My mom picked too much basil for a recipe at the lake house and stuck the extra in a vase. The basil not only looked attractive, it perfumed the whole kitchen!
Back at home, I threw together this simple bouquet for a cheerful Summer table.
Bonus Entertaining Tip: Basil roots in water-filled vases! A few weeks before a Summer dinner party, snip basil off of your main plant and arrange in a tiny pot. Write your guests’ names on the pots and use for place cards. After dinner, your friends can take the basil home to plant in their own yards.
