The Rose Table’s 2016 Holiday Gift Guide

Veuve Clicquot | The Rose Table

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year!”

I absolutely love the thrill of finding the perfect gift for my friends and family. I was so busy gift hunting that my gift guide is tragically later than I would have liked. Better late than never, right? Here are a few new gift ideas in no particular order.

For the cozy one in your life…

Lafco Candle Review | The Rose Table

I’m absolutely in love with Lafco Candles. They last forever, burn steady, and smell incredible. I particularly have to mention Geranium for the patio. The blend of white geranium and mint acts as a natural bug repellent. I burn it in a lantern every evening that my guests and I spend outside! Priced at $60, these candles have a whopping 90 hours of burn time and come in gorgeous glass jars that you can repurpose after enjoying the candle. I’ve been burning my two candles all fall and still haven’t come close to burning them up! Shop Lafco here.

For the Disney lover in your life…

Anthology Candles Review, Disneyland Candles | The Rose Table

Anthology Candles makes Disney park-themed candles that are sure to put a smile on any mouseketeer’s face. Read my full review here. Shop Anthology Candles here.

For the adventurer in your life…

Alexandra Resort Review | The Rose Table

Give the gift of travel with airline miles! At American Airlines, miles start at $30 for 1,000 miles and they give you bonus miles if you buy a certain amount. 1,000 miles might not fly you to Turks and Caicos but every little bit helps. I can’t imagine a more thoughtful gift for a travel lover than miles on their preferred airline. If you really want to impress this holiday season, book a hotel somewhere around the world and wrap up a photo of the location. Head over to the Travel Section of The Rose Table for ideas!

For the giver in your life…

David Sheldrick Christmas Fostering

Last year I gifted my mom with a baby elephant! Okay, sort of. I fostered Suswa in her name. My mom received regular updates on Suswa’s well being from the wonderful folks at The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya throughout the year. It really is the gift that keeps on giving! Plus every bit of that goes towards saving more elephants in Africa, a cause dear to my mother. Whatever your recipient is passionate about, make a donation in their name to show you support them. Read about David Sheldrick’s Christmas fostering here.

For the wannabe gardener in your life…

Back to the Roots Review | the Rose Table
I think this is the most adorable gardening kit for children and novice adult gardeners alike! The Mushrooms Farm allows you to grow organic mushrooms – mushrooms! – right in your windowsill just by adding water. I can’t wait to make a homegrown mushroom omelet. The Garden in a Can comes in a four-part gift set with basil, cilantro, sage, and dill cans so you can gift a whole herb garden at once. Shop Back to the Roots gardening kits here.  Products start at $19.99.

For the chocolate lover in your life…

The Best Peppermint Bark | The Rose Table

I squeal with delight when my annual Enstrom box comes! Enstrom Candies hands down makes the BEST peppermint bark of all time. It has cookies in it. Cookies, people. Their toffee is also not to be missed. Shop Enstrom here.

For the foodie in your life…

Easy German Chocolate Fudge | The Rose Table

Make a few batches of fudge to give to your loved ones! Get my recipe for German Chocolate Fudge, Maple Walnut Fudge, and Peppermint Fudge. Each takes all of five minutes to make and uses less than five ingredients. Wrap in cellophane and tie with a bow.

For the sun lover in your life…

Wallaroo Nola Hat Review

Wallaroo Hat Company makes fabulous wide-brimmed hats with built in protection against ultra violet rays. Many can even be folded up in a suitcase and whisked off to vacation! These are also great for pool days, gardening, and strolls through a vineyard, if you’re into that sort of thing. Shop Women’s Hats here but know they also have men’s hats and children’s hats!

For the happy hour lover in your life…

Veuve Clicquot | The Rose Table

When my friend Yoli walked into my masquerade party with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot at my hostess gift, I bounced up and down. (I’m subtle like that.) She knows it’s my absolute favorite champagne. Whatever your friend’s favorite drink of choice, go big! Years ago I gifted my rum-loving brother a bottle of Captain Morgan’s Private Stock for Christmas, a tradition that his wife carries on to this day. Whatever you might normally take to someone’s house, kick it up a notch for Christmas. After all, tis the season!

Happy holidays,
