This is just the best bacon in the world. It’s also my favorite way to cook a large amount of bacon because the oven does all the work and you need not clean bacon splatters off of your stove later. You know how much I hate to clean!
Many recipes online tell you to set the bacon directly on a cookie sheet with sides but that would result in much greasier bacon. The key here is to set a cooling rack inside of a cookie sheet with sides and cook the bacon on the rack.
Maple-Glazed Bacon
1 package thick cut bacon (cherrywood smoked bacon is my favorite)
2 Tbsp good maple syrup
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Nestle a cooling rack in a sheet pan and coat with cooking spray.
- Lay bacon on cooling rack and bake for 15 minutes.
- Glaze both sides of bacon with maple syrup using a pastry brush. Return to oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes. Keep an eye on it and pull it when it looks perfect!
