The Smolder

Disney Cocktails

A sexy cocktail inspired by the one and only Flynn Rider

Don’t you love a cocktail that doesn’t involve dirtying any dishes except the pitcher you store it in? This is literally four ingredients stirred together with a garnish. That’s it! This recipe’s proportions make it really easy to scale up and down. You could make a whole punch bowl of The Smolder or just one or two cocktails.

“Alright, listen, I didn’t want to have to do this, but you leave me no choice. Here comes the smolder.”

I came up with this drink for Disney Dinners: Tangled, inspired by our leading man. He’s a little sour and a little sweet so I thought cranberry juice and amaretto would be good representations. Plus he has a total pirate swagger going on, hence the rum.

The Smolder

Serves 4
1 cup cranberry juice cocktail
1/2 cup white rum
1/4 cup amaretto
4 Tbsp fresh orange juice
Orange slices for garnish

  1. Stir together the first four ingredients in a small pitcher. Chill until ready to serve. Fill glasses with ice, pour cocktail in the glass, and garnish with orange slices. So simple!
