Herbed Cheese Ball

Herbed Cheese Ball

My Herbed Cheese Ball is the perfect appetizer to make if you love herbs! Especially if you grow your own and always have an abundance on hand. It’s wicked good! This would be absolutely adorable for Saint Patrick’s Day.

It’s just cream cheese, white cheddar, salt, rosemary, oregano, and chives. The outside is coated with Italian parsley, chives, and a touch of oregano. If you’re an herb girlie like me, you’ll love this easy fresh-tasting white cheddar cheese ball.

Pro tip: don’t use pre-grated cheese. You don’t want the stuff they coat the cheese with in your cheese ball! Just take a minute to grate some white cheddar until you have a cup. It’s worth it!

Herbed Cheese Ball

8 oz block cream cheese, room temperature
1 cup white cheddar cheese, grated
1/4 tsp salt
Fresh rosemary (2 sprigs)
Fresh oregano (2 sprigs)
Fresh chives (7-8 sprigs)

For the coating: 1/3 cup chopped Italian parsley, 2-3 sprigs oregano, 2-3 sprigs chives

  1. Chop rosemary, oregano, and chives. Mix cream cheese, white cheddar, salt, and herbs well and form a ball. Gently roll in chopped parsley, oregano, and chives until thoroughly coated.
  2. Wrap cheese ball in plastic wrap and chill for one hour. Serve with crackers.
