Traits
Bred from Ebb Tide and Grande Dame, Celestial Night is an enchanting and hardy floribunda rose. Known for exceptional disease resistance and it’s incredible old-fashioned purple blooms, Celestial Night is rose any gardener would appreciate in the garden.
Disease Resistance
The Celestial Nights rose is known to be quite disease resistant and I have to say, mine has given me no trouble whatsoever. In fact, it’s one of the few roses in my garden that doesn’t struggle too much with black spot, the #1 issue that plagues my roses here in DFW. We love an unproblematic queen!

Size
Celestial Night grows 3-5 feet tall and about 3 feet wide. Mine has a particularly nice, upright growth habit and is a show-stopper outside my dining room window.
Blooms
These old-fashioned cupped blooms are truly show-stopping. The deep purple color is so stunning! Each rose has 40+ petals and they unfurl quite beautifully. Celestial Night is an excellent cutting rose. The photo on the left here is a single snip and made for an adorable bouquet paired with mint!

Care
This rose thrives in zones 5-9 and needs full sun to thrive. I care for my Celestial Night rose the same way that I care for my other roses: I prune in the winter, fertilize in the spring and fall, and water with seaweed fertilizer once a month. Read my full article about How to Grow Roses here.
