It’s that wonderful time of year again, when the garden is full of blooms. I am delighted to run out every morning and inspect all of my roses. It amazes me how much can happen in just ten hours.
New roses planted this year:
Sundance – opened today!
Queen Elizabeth – no blooms yet
Cherry parfait – full of multicolored blooms
Beloved – long-stemmed red perfection
Moondance – fluffy white roses
Artistry – more hot pink than I expected
April in Paris – never have I smelled a sweeter smell
Saint Patrick – first bud should open any day now
Roses planted last year:
Garden party – no blooms yet
Elegant Lady – perfect hybrid blooms
Over the Moon – a sunset in the garden
Dram Come True – nearly five feet tall in just one year, covered in blooms
Disneyland – much more blooms than last year!
Burgundy Iceberg – waves of purple
Wild Blue Yonder – much more satisfying this year

Thank you! My garden was featured in the newspaper recently. I need to blog about it. 🙂
