“When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die.”
Can you believe the finale is finally here? I’m not ready. I did certainly get in the spirit this afternoon though with a Game of Thrones high tea with my friend Sylvia! The London Baker in The Colony is known for its Harry Potter-themed high teas, which I’ve been dying to go to, and today they hosted a special Game of Thrones high tea that Sylvia invited me to because she’s fun like that.

The London Baker was decked out with Game of Thrones decor, backdrops, and even an iron throne. Outside they had a toy crossbow with Joffrey as the target and a Highgarden photo op.
They had a lot of fun with this menu, as seen by Theon Greyjoy’s Favorite Play Thing, a pig in a the most delicious cheesy pastry blanket. The pastries were phenomenal and I didn’t have a bite that I didn’t love. I was the most surprised by the roast beef sandwich because I don’t particularly care for roast beef but the olive spread just made it. As for the sweet treats, the pear scone smothered with whipped butter and honey was my favorite. It was so moist! The Brienne of Tart wild berry tart reminded me of trips to the northwest and lemon cake would have delighted Sansa Stark.

Two festive drinks were served: the White Walker, which tasted a lot like a fizzy milkshake, and wildfire jello shots.
The grand finale was The Red Wedding Cake, their almond cake with a bloody surprise. This would be such a fun cake at a Halloween party!
I was so impressed by this whimsical tea and am excited to try their Harry Potter tea sometime soon! Now, comment and tell me who you hope ends up on the Iron Throne.
For the throne,
