“He was a bloomin’, hero, ma’am! A bloomin’ hero.” – Nanny
One of my favorite quotes in 101 Dalmatians is Nanny calling Rodger a “bloomin’ hero” for his courage. I heard that and I knew that going to be the name of my cocktail at Disney Dinners: 101 Dalmatians. This is my take on a classic British Pimm’s Cup. Instead of sparkling water (British lemonade), I used American lemonade and it’s *quite* a bit stronger than a typical Pimm’s Cup. After all, this cocktail is a bloomin’ hero!
This is such a perfect cocktail to sip on when it’s hot outside. It’s light and refreshing and bursting with a comical amount of fruit: orange slices, whole strawberries, and cucumber slices with a big garnish of fresh English mint. What more does a gal need for the perfect drink to sip on in the summer? I’ve written this up both for a pitcher and individual cocktails – it’s just as easy to make either way!

Bloomin’ Hero
1 part Pimm’s No. 1
2 parts lemonade
Cucumber
Oranges
Strawberries
Mint sprigs
- If making individual cocktails, fill glass with some ice, pour in 1 part Pimm’s No. 1, 2 parts lemonade. Add 2 strawberries, 1 long cucumber slice, two orange slices, and a sprig of fresh English mint.
- If making a pitcher, pour in 1 part Pimm’s Cup, 2 parts lemonade, half a carton of strawberries, a cucumber sliced lengthwise, and two oranges sliced. Chill and serve over ice with mint sprigs.
