I’ve been easily getting 1-2 cups of tomatoes every day for the past two months, mostly the yellow pear, cupid, and supersweet 100 cherry tomatoes, the latter being my favorite. They weren’t kidding when they named this tomato supersweet – it’s delicious!

People DM me on Instagram all the time to ask me what I do with all of these tomatoes. That’s such a funny question, because tomatoes is one of those things I buy at the store every single week when I don’t have plants in the garden. I can’t live without tomatoes! I eat a ton of salads, I love them in tabbouleh, greek salad, and cucumber salads. Tomatoes are delicious in pasta salads, in guacammole, and with feta and herbs, and of course a classic caprese. I also make a ton of homemade pasta sauces (that I really haven’t blogged about because I never measure!) with homegrown tomatoes. The possibilities are endless!

Sadly a bird ate my first four ripe Black Krim tomatoes (the big guys!) so I decided to start picking them green and let them ripen on the counter by a sunny window. I’ve gotten to enjoy quite a few Black Krim, Cherokee, and Roma tomatoes that way and I’ve got eight more ripening now.

Plus, the ripening process looks so damn pretty in the kitchen! I love the rainbow of colors and the excitement when they finally change colors.
