Firework Fruit Wands

Looking for an adorable addition to any 4th of July party? Make my Firework Fruit Wands! You don’t even need to know how to cook to be the star of any potluck with this five-minute recipe.

Firework Fruit Wands 4th of July

Don’t cut the watermelon slices too thick or it’ll be difficult to cut out into stars. Don’t cut the slices too thin or they’ll break easily. An inch or a little less is perfect for your slices. You could use one size of cookie cutter but I think an assortment of stars is adorable.

I served these at the Patriotic Pool Party I threw for my family alongside sliders and potato salad. These would even be adorable as part of a 4th of July breakfast! My little niece Cassi loved her firework wand.  Obviously, keep a close eye on littles when eating these, as the skewers have a point.

1 whole watermelon
1 pint blueberries

  1. Cut watermelon into slices, about three-forths of an inch thick. Use star cookie cutters to cut out large and medium stars.
  2. Thread blueberries on bamboo skewers, leaving three or four inches bare on the bottom to comfortably hold the wands. Add a watermelon star at the top of the wand. Arrange in a firework display.
