Sweetheart Shakes

Sweetheart Shakes

Looking for an adorable no-bake Valentine’s Day treat? Make my Sweetheart Shakes! These delicious strawberry milkshakes are topped with Valentine’s Day sprinkles and chocolate caramel hearts.

I just love making milkshakes! I always have ice cream in the freezer so it’s a dessert I can whip up at a moment’s notice. Plus, little Valentines will love this sweet treat!

My favorite strawberry ice cream (Tillamook) is very pale in color and makes nearly a white milkshake so I added a bit of magenta food coloring to really make these Sweetheart Shakes pop. Feel free to do the same or enjoy them without the pop of pink.

Serves 2
6 scoops strawberry ice cream
1 cup milk
Whipped cream (recipe follows), Valentine’s Day sprinkles, chocolate caramel hearts
Optional: red food coloring

  1. Combine strawberry ice cream and milk in blender until smooth. Optional: add red food coloring if desired.
  2. Top shakes with whipped cream. Garnish with Valentine’s Day sprinkles and chocolate caramel hearts.

To make homemade whipped cream, whip 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream in a metal bowl with a metal whisk until soft peaks form. Whisk in 2 Tbsp powdered sugar and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. Spoon or pipe on top of milkshakes.

Happy blending,
