Sometimes simple really is supreme. I made these Black Forest Ham Tea Sandwiches for my Snow White Tea Party since the original fairytale (Schneewittchen) takes place in the Black Forest.

A little Dijon mustard really adds a ton of flavor to this quick little sandwich and pairs perfectly with the creamy Muenster cheese and slightly sweet black forest ham.

To make these a bit cuter for afternoon tea, I served them with rosemary sprigs, which added a lovely forest vibe and nice pop of green to the plate.

Black Forest Ham Tea Sandwiches

Wheat bread
Mayonnaise
Dijon mustard
Black forest ham
Muenster cheese
Optional: rosemary sprigs for garnish

1. Cut crusts off of bread.
2. Spread one side of bread with mayonnaise and one side with Dijon mustard. Add black forest ham on top of the mayonnaise side and muenster cheese on top of the Dijon mustard, then close the sandwich and cut into triangles. If desired, serve with rosemary sprigs.
