Dearest gentle readers, I rather spontaneously decided to surprise my bestie Irene with a Bridgerton watch party this weekend and it came out so cute, I decided to blog about it! The Bridgerton aesthetic is truly impeccable and I already had quite a lot of decor from my big Bridgerton Garden Party a couple of years ago.

The Decor
Unless it’s a holiday, I actually always have purple wisteria on my mantel. Very Bridgerton! I hung white wisteria from the mantel and swapped out my Fresh Flowers sign for my custom Spill the Tea sign by Enchanted Farmhouse.

The Table
I threw a white lace tablecloth on my coffee table along with beautiful old world white roses, silver candlesticks, silver touches from Thrift for Good, and a Beekman 1802 candle that says “I burn for you.” I also used my pink floral teapot and matching dishes. It was so girly and fun!

The Food
We literally decided to watch Bridgerton together the day before and I knew I had buttermilk in the fridge and could easily make Irene’s favorite treat, Vanilla Buttermilk Scones. The rest of the menu spiraled from there!

I made little cucumber sandwiches and Egg Salad Sandwiches (last seen at my Beauty and the Beast Tea Party) plus Teacup Charcuterie: mortadella, aged Irish cheddar, crackers, fruit, and herbed Marcona almonds served in teacups.

Last but not least, I baked my famous White Chocolate Lemon Bars from The Rose Table Cookbook. ‘Tis lemon season, after all! These were extra special because I used Meyer lemons. I love this recipe because it doens’t dirty a mixer and the lemon bars stay fresh for quite a long time.

The Ice Cream
Irene also surprised me by showing up with Jeni’s special Bridgerton ice cream! She brought a carton of Queen Charlotte’s Sponge Cake (almond buttercream with raspberry-rose jam and honey sponge cake) and their classic Darkest Chocolate. The two went together perfectly!

Everyone always tells me that they want to be at my (dinner) table but my besties know the real place to be is my coffee table. I may be known for dinner parties but on a typical weekend, you’ll find me and my girlfriends curled up on the couch with my dog and a fabulous spread on the coffee table. Let me know if you’d like to see more of this casual watch party content here on TRT!
