Strawberry Mint Gin Smash

Strawberry Mint Gin Smash

‘Tis the season for garden cocktails! I wanted something light and easy to drink for Sunday Funday in the garden. I got exceptional strawberries at the store and just knew I had to make a pitcher of Strawberry Mint Gin Smash!

This is also a perfect recipe if you grow strawberries. I’ve since been harvesting a handful of beautiful berries every morning and made a single serving several times this week!

It’s so secret that I’m a major mint girly. I grow three kinds of mint and put it in everything. It’s so good for your tummy and fabulously refreshing in a cocktail! I used my English mint in this recipe but mojito mint would also be delicious.

I used my favorite gin from Still Austin for this recipe, which has wonderful floral notes. Give the cocktail a taste and adjust the simple syrup as necessary depending on how sweet you want it.

Strawberry Mint Gin Smash

1 pound fresh strawberries
1-2 Tbsp simple syrup
Juice from 2 limes
2 cups gin
4 cups club soda
1 bunch fresh mint

  1. Slice the tops off of strawberries and discard. Muddle strawberries with simple syrup and the juice from two limes. Stir in gin and club soda. Tear fresh mint into pieces and add to pitcher.
  2. Serve over ice with fresh mint sprigs.

Cheers,
