Blooms & Color

The blooms are so vibrant that they almost look like they have a filter on them in real life! The ruffled red blooms almost have a peony-like quality to them, enhanced by glossy green foliage. The 3-inch blooms have that romantic English garden look to them that I absolutely adore. The best part? This rose practically blooms nonstop, treating you to a constant flush of never ending color.

Size

Never Been Redder grows four feet tall and about three feet wide for a nicely compact rose. The versatile size makes it suitable for borders, hedges, cutting gardens, and even containers! My mom’s Never Been Redder is in her garden but so far, mine is just in a pot and it thrived in its pot despite a ridiculously hot and dry summer here in Dallas.

Care

This rose thrives in zones 5-9 and needs full sun to thrive. Prune in the winter, fertilize in the spring and fall, and water with seaweed fertilizer once a month. Read my full article about How to Grow Roses here.
