Whoever said fairytales aren’t real never met me. My name is Katie-Rose Watson and I’m a dark chocolate lover, equestrian, gardener, Disney enthusiast, and dog mom and I believe in writing your own fairytale. On the weekends I’m either on a picnic blanket, taking in a show, hosting a magical themed party, or enjoying the lake life. A native Texan, I love sharing my life with my readers.
I loved baking at early age, always eager to make a mess in the kitchen. (Sorry, Mom!) When I’m not in the kitchen (and writing about it), I work as a publicist and my clients know to come to meetings hungry! After work I like to curl up with my dog and a good glass of wine by the fire pit and cook dinner for friends.
I followed my brother to Texas Christian University (I’m that sister) where I majored in German and minored in Classical Studies. During college, I studied abroad in Greece, an experience that greatly influenced my style of cooking. One of my favorite ways to spend an evening is to have my friends over for dinner al fresco. Few things make me as happy as serving good food to good people…and traveling the world to try new dishes!
I’m avid traveler and love to write about my adventures here on The Rose Table. I love spending time in my garden, tending to my roses and growing my own food. It makes me so happy to harvest food from the garden and play croquet with friends while dinner’s on the grill. I’m an equestrian and proud owner of a Fairytale Friesian named Wendy, who often makes appearances here on The Rose Table. You can often find me carriage driving with her on Instagram! I’m also the hand maiden to my very spoiled Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Henry.
