On Tuesday evening I had the pleasure of attending a Target Style holiday dinner party with Matthew McConaughey’s beautiful bride Camila Alves at The Joule in downtown Dallas. I invited my friend Joseph, who is always up for a classy dinner, to join me for the evening of holiday entertaining inspiration.

Target Style invited Camila and four lifestyle experts (Amy Havins, Camille Styles, Judy Aldridge, and Kimberly Schlegel Whitman) to design tables using Target products for less than $200. Camila’s table was whimsical and great for families with kiddos. I especially loved the idea of putting silverware in tiny stockings. She had felt ornaments set on top of each. The wood chargers are a must-have and I love the gold silverware!
I was lucky enough to interview Camila and the four co-hosts on Facebook live before the party began. You can watch the full interview here, in which Camila tells me about some of her favorite holiday recipes!

We checked out the other table designs while drinking cranberry cocktails and noshing on passed appetizers.

When we sat down, Camila spoke about the just keep livin Foundation, which she and Matthew founded after their oldest son was born. It was clear that the foundation means a lot to her. She was a little choked up talking about what a difference they’ve been able to make in the lives of high school students.
Dinner was an elegant affair: cabernet sauvignon, butter leaf salad with walnuts, pecorino, and champagne vinaigrette, filet with a coffee rub and wine jus, and a manjari tart with dulche de leech and ancho salt.
After dinner, Target treated guests to the most Mariah Carey-style wine ever! How glam are these wine bottle covers? They also had a huge candy station with bags so guests could make all their Willy Wonka dreams come true. Such a fun favor to remember!
Thank you for inviting me, Target Style!
