The Rose Table Diner en Blanc Dallas 2017

What a glamorous night! Diner en Blanc Dallas 2017 was held at one of my favorite places in all of Dallas-Fort Worth: the Dallas Arboretum. 2,500 elegantly dressed guests arrived just before sunset to set up their tables, chairs, floral arrangements, and decorations for the most elegant picnic Dallas has to offer. Guests even got to walk by the Arboretum’s annual pumpkin village on their way to the event! Here are some folks arriving and setting up. Don’t they look lovely?

Many of you know I work as a publicist when I’m not baking (and sometimes, also when I’m baking) and Diner en Blanc Dallas has been my client for the past three years so I stay in the media lounge all night with my journalist friends. I sent my assistant Peyton out to photograph the tables and food to show you and she got such lovely shots! Everyone gets so into the planning and the decorations. It’s really fun to see. Diner en Blanc guests really are my people!

Side bar: I don’t know the woman photographed above but I want to be best friends with her. A giant rose hat? Sign me up! This year Southwest Airlines sponsored a gorgeous Getaway Garden, a tucked away area of the arboretum lit with twinkly lights. This year also saw white henna, an Alice and Wonderland-esque photo op, a marching band, a string trio, and dancing.
