An appetizer fit for a queen!
Need a quick an easy appetizer that is sure to impress? My Spanish Queen Crostini looks and tastes super fancy but is as simple as slicing bread. Here toasted baguette is topped with fig jam, chorizo, manchego cheese, and edible gold flakes for a show-stopping appetizer. The sweetness from the fig jam complements the heat of the chorizo and the saltiness of the manchego so well, you’ll wonder how you made it this far without trying this combination.

Originally inspired by Catherine of Aragon for my SIX the Musical party, I’ll definitely be making this easy crostini recipe again and again.
This recipe is sponsored by Barnabas Blattgold. Shop their Amazon store here.

If you’ve never eaten gold before, don’t fret. It’s easy to work with and easy to find. (I get mine on Amazon.) I usually deal with transfer sheets but Barnabas Blattgold has this awesome flaked gold that makes it so easy to add shimmering gold to crostini! It’s 100% edible and doesn’t have any texture or taste to speak of so it’s purely for festive decoration.
This would make a great appetizer for making this a great appetizer for an awards show, anniversary party, New Year’s Eve, or any celebratory evening.
