Luke Skywalker’s Green Milk

“In my experience there is no such thing as luck.” – Obi-Wan Kenobi

I was raised on Star Wars. My mom is the biggest Star Wars fan. She saw Episode IV in theaters on opening night and was that person who went into the office on Monday insisting that everyone go see it. I don’t even remember the first time I watched it. I feel like I knew what an X-wing was before I could walk and at long last, I finally have a Star Wars recipe on The Rose Table. I give you Luke Skywalker’s Green Milk!

Star Wars Green Milk Recipe

This simple, three-ingredient cocktail is inspired by the green milk that Luke drinks in Episode VIII. It’s ice cold and frothy with a faintly exotic, can’t-put-your-finger-on-it flavor thanks to the combination of vanilla vodka and Midori (melon liquor).

“Do. Or do not. There is no try.” – Yoda

The green milk found at Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge is curiously more yellow than green in hue (and isn’t alcoholic) but I tried to mimic the color from the movie as best I could. There’s no green coloring added to this. The gorgeous hue comes entirely from the Midori. One sip and you’ll be transported to a galaxy far, far away!
