Midnight Magic Sundae

Dark Chocolate Hot Fudge Sundae with Cake Crumbs

This is officially my new favorite sundae! And that’s saying a lot because I’m a bit of a sundae snob.

This recipe uses my incredible homemade vanilla ice cream, which is the creamiest, dreamiest ice cream you’ll ever have. You can of course use store bought ice cream if you prefer but it really is easy to make your own! It lasts quite a while in the freezer and it’s so nice to pull out when you have impromptu guests.

I used devil’s food cake crumbs in this sundae, leftover from my Cruella Trifle. (Recipe coming soon!) Life hack: bake my favorite dark chocolate layer cake, freeze the layers, and then you can thaw and crumble them for trifles and sundaes.

I also used my secret weapon for this sundae: dark chocolate hot fudge sauce. I almost always have a jar of this in my fridge. It keeps for months and once you have a sundae with it, it’s hard to eat ice cream without it.
