Looking for a fabulous southern brunch dish to kickoff Derby Day? Make my Bourbon French Toast with Bourbon Whipped Cream!
I love making French Toast. It’s fast, easy, elegant, and fancy all at the same time. Have everything on hand? You’re ten minutes away from the most amazing breakfast!
The custard has eggs, cream, sugar, and bourbon. It smells absolutely incredible frying in butter! I need that scent as a candle.
I must insist you use brioche. Brioche freezes beautifully so I always have some on hand and it really does make the best french toast on the planet.
I love this served with bourbon whipped cream, bourbon maple syrup, powdered sugar, and berries.
