“Just want a cozy, a cozy little Christmas here with you”
I did something completely different for this year’s Christmas party. Pretty much since I was 19 years old in my college apartment, I’ve thrown a glamorous Christmas party. I mostly hosted huge cocktail parties in my twenties and the last couple of years have hosted holiday dinner parties (here and here) but this year I thought it would be fun to host a casual Cozy Christmas Brunch for some of my girlfriends!

The Ambiance
I swapped out my normal dining room artwork (which come to think of it, have y’all ever even seen?!) for my Christmas artwork and styled the side tables with garlands, a Be Merry sign, and a live tree in the corner.

Most notably, I picked up my first ever REAL noble fir garland at a local nursery when I bought my Christmas tree. It made the entire dining room smell like Christmas! I love how old fashioned and cozy it looked. It really was the star of the show.

Of course my whole house is decorated for Christmas time right now! The halls are decked with beautiful garlands, nutcrackers, snowy scenes, Santas, Christmas pillows, and more merriment in every room.

The Table
This table was so simple compared to many of my extravagant tablescapes, which is exactly what I was going for my casual pajama brunch. I styled the table with a new navy blue and green checkered tablecloth, my tree candle holders adorned with pillar candles, and a lighted pine cone greenery piece in the center.

The Place Settings
I styled each place with my woven rattan chargers seen at my Jurassic Park party, my white Emma dishes from pottery barn, and white lace napkins with my red rose napkin rings (a last minute decision!). I also set each place with stunning green juice glasses which I recently found at an Estate sale for $10. One woman’s trash is another woman’s treasure!

The Fashion
I am delighted to say, we decided to wear Christmas pajamas for this brunch! This is hands down the comfiest I’ve ever been for a party. If you’re looking for a sign to have your girlfriends over for a pajama brunch, this is it. I loved seeing everyone’s jammies!

The Drink

I served delicious mango peach orange juice as well as Christmas Mimosas. This festive cocktail can very easily be made into a mocktail. In fact, I served it both ways! Just combine champagne (or sparkling cider) with cran-apple juice and a dash of orange bitters, garnish with a rosemary sprig, and add a snowy sugared rim if you’re feeling extra fancy. The Food
I’m absolutely delighted with this menu! It was easy to pull off, it’s a perfect variety of dishes, and it looked so colorful and festive. You’ve got sweet, savory, and salty; it’s truly a winning holiday brunch spread. I hope you love this line up as much as I do!

Cozy Christmas Brunch Menu
Eggnog French Toast
Giant Ham & Cheese Omelet
Cranberry Yogurt Parfaits
Brown Sugar Bacon
Chocolate Chocolate Chip Muffins
Eggnog French Toast

This is truly one of my favorite Christmas breakfast recipes. What could be more festive than Eggnog French Toast?! I absolutely adore making French toast and have tons of varieties here on therosetable.com, but this is by far my favorite holiday dish. Get the recipe here.

Giant Ham & Cheese Omelet

I have made this a thousand times and somehow I never seem to update the photography. Practically everyone who’s ever had brunch at The Rose Table has eaten this giant ham and cheese omelet. It’s my favorite way to make eggs for a crowd! Get the recipe here.
Cranberry Yogurt Parfaits

New this year! Can you believe I’ve never used my famous cranberry sauce in a yogurt parfait before? It was absolutely delicious paired with honey vanilla yogurt, maple pecan granola, and fresh banana. Add a mint sprig and you’ve got a gorgeous Christmas parfait. I’m totally doing this with leftover sauce every year! Get the recipe here.

Brown Sugar Bacon

An oldie but goodie! This is one of my favorite ways to make bacon for a crowd: in the oven. Just dredge it in brown sugar (and a little cayenne if you’re feeling spicy!) and roast until nice and crispy. Get the recipe here.
Chocolate Chocolate Chip Muffins

For dessert, I served my chocolate chocolate chip muffins garnished with sugared cranberries. This muffin recipe was inspired by my holy grail muffin at Disneyland and is a decadent way to end a holiday brunch! Get the recipe here.

I hope this inspired you to entertain this holiday season, even if you really want to wear pajamas. 🙂
