Lavender Gin Sour

Lavender Gin Sour

This is the cocktail I make for all of my girlfriends. Heck, this might be one of my all-time favorite cocktails! with a gorgeous hue and perfectly balanced flavor profile, this Lavender Gin Sour is perfect for a happy hour stroll around the garden.

Don’t let the simple syrup deter you. You can literally make it while your coffee is brewing. It’s the easiest thing in the world to make and lasts for weeks in the fridge.

You will need food grade lavender buds for this recipe. You can grab some from The Rose Table Amazon store here. I bought a bag about eight years ago and haven’t made a dent. It’s a lifetime supply! And you’re in luck because I have tons of lavender recipes for you to try.

Lavender Gin Sour

2 oz gin
1/2 a small lemon (about 1/2 an oz)
1/2 oz lavender simple syrup

For garnish: lemon slice, lavender buds, or a sprig of lavender

  1. Add gin, lemon juice, and lavender simple syrup to a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake to chill, then strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. If you’re feeling fancy, top with a lemon slice and lavender buds or a sprig of fresh lavendr.

Lavender Simple Syrup

1 cup water
1 cup sugar
4 Tbsp culinary lavender

  1. Combine ingredients in a small sauce pan. Bring to a boil and cook just until sugar dissolves. Let cool, then strain lavender buds. Chill completely. Lasts in a jar for up to a month!
