I’ve been on a smoothie kick lately. Smoothies are such an easy, fast way to have a nutritious breakfast. There are so many variations, but I want to give you a quick blog update today with one of my favorites:

Blueberry Orange Smoothie
6-8 oz. freshly squeezed orange juice*
General handful frozen blueberries**
One banana
Two heaping spoonfuls Greek yogurt
Oats for sprinkling
Smoothie recipes are more like guidelines. Feel free to add more blueberries, juice, or yogurt depending on the thickness you prefer. Simply add the ingredients to the blender in that order and blend away! Sprinkle with oats as garnish.
*Central Market offers freshly squeezed orange juice in the fruit section. It’s only good for a few days, but I never have a problem drinking it up before it goes bad!
**East Texas has the most delicious blueberries. Every summer I buy (or pick) embarrassing amounts and freeze them so that I can have summer-fresh blueberries all winter long.
