Last week I had the pleasure of attending an Absolut Elyx event at Dallas Chop House (which, by the way, has a stunning patio) hosted by Dallas blogger Susie Drinks. A group of bloggers, including my dear friend Irene, tasted several vodkas – something I’ve never done before! I’ve never been a big vodka drinker and can’t say that I ever noticed differences between brands but Absolut Elyx taught me that I’ve been doing it all wrong.

To properly taste vodka, you want to sip it twice. (Much like olive oil!) On the second taste, you’ll notice an array of flavors. Absolut Elyx has notes of caramel and vanilla and, to me, tastes a bit like a sugar cookie. That’s what makes this punch so drinkable. Absolut Elyx served this easy-to-drink punch at the event in the most stunning copper mugs. (Copper is part of their brand; Absolut Elyx is actually distilled in copper vats.) I loved it so much that I requested the recipe to share with all of you!

Absolut Elyx High Tea
15 oz Absolut Elyx vodka
20 oz iced tea, chilled
8 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
8 oz elderflower cordial
Lemon slices for garnish
- Combine all ingredients in a large punch bowl. Add ice to chill. Serve with lemon slices for garnish.
