Second Star to the Right Crostini

Second Star to the Right Crostini | Disney Peter Pan Party Recipes

Looking for Peter Pan recipes? You’ve come to the right place!

“Second star to the right and straight on ’til morning”

This of course refers to the location of Neverland in Disney’s Peter Pan. In the film, Neverland is a brighter star than the star to its left, so I thought two tasty crostini stars would be a perfect way to kick off Disney Dinners: Peter Pan!

Is it even fair to call this a recipe? It’s so simple! The point isn’t really what’s on the stars. You could do a myriad of toppings – though I do like something bright like pimento cheese for the star on the right – so feel free to have fun with it! For my Peter Pan dinner party, I used store bought pimento cheese (this is the south after all) and my delicious homemade pesto.

If you’ve never made pesto before, please try it! It’s so easy and it tastes so much better than the store bought kind. Last summer I grew a ton of basil and must have frozen a dozen jars (read about how to freeze pesto here), so I literally pulled a jar out of the freezer the night before the party for easy entertaining. I thought pesto would be perfect since it’s green, like Peter Pan’s famous outfit.
