Looking for a quick and easy no-bake Halloween treat? You found it! These adorable Mummy Rice Krispy Treats are sure to steal the show with their cuteness.

I used Ghirardelli white vanilla flavored melting wafers to “wrap” the rice krispy treats like mummies. You could use white chocolate instead but I find the melting wafers to be much easier to work with. If you’ve ever melted white chocolate, you know how tricky it can be! I’m so glad that these melting wafers are becoming widely available at grocery stores.
I cut this batch into sixteen medium-sized treats. Obviously you could cut them smaller for a party or larger if you prefer. If you make them smaller, use mini chocolate chips instead. I hope you love these as much as I do! I think this is a Halloween party and lunchbox home run.
Mummy Rice Krispy Treats
Makes 16 treats
3 Tbsp unsalted butter
1 bag mini marshmallows (about 5 cups)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
6 cups Rice Krispy Cereal
10 oz Ghirardelli white vanilla flavored melting wafers (or white chocolate)
16 semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Melt butter in a large saucepan or Dutch oven. Add mini marshmallows and stir over medium-low heat until melted. Add vanilla and cereal and gently mix together.
- Spoon mixture into a 9×13 pan lined with wax paper and sprayed with nonstick spray. Press down using another sheet of greased wax paper. Chill for one hour.
- Cut into rectangles. Melt vanilla melting wafers at half power for 30 second intervals, stirring until melted. Use a spoon to drizzle over the treats or spoon into a bag, cut the end, and pipe onto rice krispy treats. Add chocolate chip eyes.
