The Wine Flight & Food Pairing at Copia Vineyards is not to be missed on your next trip to Paso Robles, California! The menu changes seasonally, giving you an excuse to visit four times a year. We enjoyed our leisurely food and wine tasting on comfortable leather couches with a view of the vines.

The Wine
The 2022 White, served with the most incredible turmeric panna cotta, was one of my favorites. With notes of peach and honeysuckle, this wine is a blend of two of my favorite grapes: Roussanne and Viognier. No wonder I love it! This lovely blend made the panna cotta sing. I also loved the welcome wine: Copia Vineyards 2022 rosé, 60% Grenache, 40% Mourvédre, with notes of strawberry, tangerine, and a zing of citrus.

Last but certainly not least, 2020 The Source is such a winning wine. I adored this expert blend of Syrah (which Paso Robles is known for), Mourvédre, and Grenache. This wine has hints of chocolate and paired beautifully with the herbed goat cheese and caramelized leek on a porcini cracker.

The Food
I loved all the bites but my favorite has to be the beet tahini served with manchego cheese and roasted acorn squash paired with Anita’s favorite wine, 2020 The Cure. This vibrant dish is as tasty as it is beautiful. Every dish is crafted with so much thought and care. If you’re a foodie, Copia is a must visit vineyard! I’m delighted to tell you that my friends at Copia were kind enough to share not one but two of these recipes by Chef Kendall Mousely with me! Be on the lookout for those soon. I may or may not be making the beet tahini this weekend!

The Story
We had such a lovely time at Copia hanging out with the owner, Anita. Copia has such an amazing story! This is truly a lifelong dream for Anita and her husband Varinder, who connected over their mutual love of wine. Their family sold farmland that had been theirs for thirteen generations to come make wine in beautiful Paso Robles and you can taste the love and passion that goes into every bottle.

I loved the wine so much that I shipped several bottles to myself! Expect to see them enjoyed at fabulous Rose Table picnics this spring. I really could have stayed here sipping wine and looking at this view all day. Shop all of Copia’s wines here. Read more about our girls trip to Paso Robles here. Watch the episode:
