There’s something magical about Allegretto Vineyard Resort. This exquisite four diamond Tuscan-style resort was designed with healing and tranquility in mind and wildly exceeded my already high expectations. Every inch of this magnificent resort is a work of art. Believe me when I say, Allegretto Vineyard Resort brought me back to life. A girls trip to Allegretto with my best friend was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday!

Located in Paso Robles, California, Allegretto Vineyard Resort has long been on my bucket list. I made it through 2020 by dream planning all the trips I’d take someday and Allegretto has been calling to me ever since. A couple of months ago I was wishing I could go to Italy for my birthday but really didn’t feel like being on a plane for 15+ hours and then it hit me: it’s time to visit Allegretto Vineyard Resort and its peaceful Tuscan vibes.

The Room
Our jaws hit the floor when we saw our room, #164. I have never in my life seen a hotel room with such a tall ceiling, which gives the room such a feeling of grandeur. Truly, there’s no living with us after our stay at Allegretto Vineyard Resort!

We stayed in a Prelude Two Queen with Terraza and boy did we use our Terraza! Our room opened right up into the main courtyard and we were pretty much outside enjoying the view any time we had a few minutes back in our room. We loved being on the ground floor with the ability to step out into the picturesque courtyard. Allegretto Vineyard Resort is pet friendly and we saw tons of adorable, extremely well behaved dogs during our stay. The restaurant even has a pet menu! How convenient is the terraza if you’re staying there with your dog?

The thing that really sets Allegretto apart from the rest is the attention to detail. The curtains are ridiculously nice. The bedspreads are ridiculously nice. Everything is of such high quality! Even our turndown service was impeccable. Every night, our robes and slippers were laid out with little chocolates, and our ice bucket was filled with ice and and set on the nightstand with two fresh water bottles. I know that might not sound like a big deal but I’ve never stayed at a resort that cared so much about my hydration, not even in a wine region.

The Gardens
You know me: I always stop to smell the roses. The gardens at Allegretto are simply goals. Even at the end of January, the grounds were stunning. I can’t even imagine how spectacular they must look when all of the roses and fruit trees are in bloom!

One fun thing that Allegretto offers are different themed choose-your-own-adventure walks throughout the garden, including a zodiac tour and art walk. Make sure to earmark enough time to fully walk and appreciate the gardens.

The entire property smells amazing thanks to the gardens. Even the parking lot smelled of rosemary and eucalyptus. What more could you possibly want in a resort? The grounds are incredibly well kept too. On Texas time, I woke up early enough to see the gardeners raking the gravel and polishing every fire pit and trash can. I don’t think I ever saw a leaf out of place!

Amenities
Allegretto Vineyard Resort of course has the vineyard that you’re welcome to wander as well as ample gardens to enjoy. There’s also a pool and gym, yoga classes, complimentary olive oil tastings, free coffee in the morning (and it’s EXCELLENT!), soft robes and slippers, and alpacas for cuddling. I will be forever haunted that we never made it back out to the alpacas for snuggles and pictures! We saw them during our vineyard tour and meant to go feed them but ran out of time.

Spa Allegretto
We were silly to even consider skipping the spa due to time. Do not skip the spa! We were so impressed with the property that we immediately booked spontaneous massages and they did not disappoint. Read a full review of Spa Allegretto here.

Dining
Allegretto Vineyard Resort has one restaurant, Cello Ristorante, plus a tasting room where you can enjoy some light bites on the patio with your wine. Cello serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus a weekend brunch. We ate there several times and were blown away by the Brussels sprouts and pizza. Read my full Cello Ristorante article here.

Allegretto Wines Tour & Tasting
You can tour the vineyard at Allegretto or do a wine tasting in the courtyard or, better yet, do both! We loved getting the lay of the land and learning about the history and we certainly loved trying Allegretto Wines. Read all about both the tour and tasting here.

Final Thoughts
In the days where so many companies are cutting corners, Allegretto Vineyard Resort and its commitment to a luxury guest experience truly shines. If you’re looking for a restorative, serene stay, look no further than this stunning Tuscan resort in the heart of California. You won’t be disappointed!
