Looking for garden party inspiration? I had the loveliest dinner in the garden with my friend Rachel last weekend. The nourishing, delicious, easy menu was inspired by my stunning azaleas, which are in full bloom. We played croquet (the maiden voyage of my brand new set!) and enjoyed our springtime garden supper right next to the azaleas.
The Food

Perfect Grilled Chicken
Grilled Asparagus
Orange Burrata Salad
Greek Quinoa Salad
Carrot Cake Cupcakes
I baked Carrot Cake Cupcakes the day before, then made Greek Quinoa Salad early in the day. By the time Rachel got here, all we had to do was make the Orange Burrata Salad (which only took a few minutes) and throw chicken and asparagus on the grill. Dinner was ready in ten minutes!
The Drink
Sadly I can’t reveal the drink just yet! My friend and I tested my punch idea for my Bridgerton garden party and all I can say is wow. Stay tuned for the most fabulous punch recipe coming soon!
The Table
I set the table with a simple white tablecloth, green hydrangeas in a white pitcher, floral plats, and gorgeous green and white napkins (which Rachel folded so cutely!) adorned with my silver crown napkin rings. I hope this inspires you to entertain al fresco! It doesn’t always have to be a huge garden event like my Alice in Wonderland dinner party. Sometimes a lovely dinner for two is perfect to celebrate the blooms.
