Epic Prosciutto Sandwich

Epic Prosciutto Sandwich

Looking for an incredible sandwich recipe? You found it! This garlicky Epic Prosciutto Sandwich has burrata cheese, pesto, tomato slices, and, of course, prosciutto.

If there’s one thing I love, it’s prosciutto. Ask my friends. I’m passionate about prosciutto and this combination does not disappoint. This is a particularly fabulous use of my famous homemade pesto, but store bought is also fine!

Burrata cheese is key here. Mozzarella is the classic substitute if you can’t find it but it’s not really the same; burrata is creamy in the center and practically becomes a sauce on the sandwich. It’s absolutely perfect on this sandwich!

I hope you love this sandwich as much as I do! Per usual with sandwiches, I didn’t write proportions here but one mini baguette made two sandwiches. I used two prosciutto slices, two tomato slices, and one mini burrata ball per sandwich. This would be easy to scale up and do in bulk for a crowd!

Epic Prosciutto Sandwich

Baguette
Arugula
Lemon juice, olive oil
1 garlic clove
Pesto
Prosciutto
Burrata cheese
Tomato slices

  1. Toss arugula with a bit of fresh lemon juice, olive oil, and salt and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Cut baguette lengthwise and drizzle with a bit of olive oil. Grill cut-side down until slightly toasty.
  3. Rub warm baguette with a cut garlic clove. Spread pesto on both halves of baguette. Add prosciutto, burrata, tomato slices, avocado slices, and arugula. Serve immediately.
