It was another magical night at the Dallas Arboretum Food and Wine Festival. This is truly one of my favorite events of the whole year, with dozens of the best chefs in Dallas serving up delicious gourmet bites. The event is part of Dallas Blooms, one of the largest floral festivals in the country.

Rain once again made an appearance at the Food and Wine Festival, which meant the event was moved from out in the garden to right up at the entrance protected by large tents. I was sad to miss the spring flowers at peak bloom but my friend Sofia and I still had a lovely time despite the rain.

The Food
I really loved the spread this year. So many chefs served healthy, fresh options like salads and vegetables lovingly crafted with spring ingredients. Parigi had a fantastic spring pea risotto, Fond served an incredible little potato rosette with caviar in the VIP tent, Saint Rocco’s offered delicious bruschetta, and Meridian served a delightful tomato burrata bite.

Most Creative
I didn’t have a mushroom chocolate tart on my bingo card for last night but it totally worked. I’m going to dream about this unique dish. I loved the presentation with edible flowers, perfect for this particular food and wine festival.

Favorite Bites
Amor y Queso rocked my world with the Crispy Chicarron with whipped chevre, Spanish chorizo, and black garlic. If I could eat that every day, I would! Low Country Quisine’s shrimp and grits was another one of my favorite bites of the night. Chef Jolie served up just about the creamiest grits I’ve ever tasted in my life.

It was another wonderful night at The Dallas Arboretum Food and Wine Festival. The best part? I now have a full set of souvenir Rosewood Ranches Dallas Arboretum wine glasses. Cheers to next year!
