Come with me to one of the best free events in DFW: Rockwall’s Concert by the Lake! These family-friendly concerts are held on Thursday nights from May through July and are truly the place to be for great music, great vibes, and spectacular water views.

But first, dinner! If you eat at one of the restaurants at The Harbor, you get complimentary valet – a huge perk! We ate a ton of seafood at Giovanni Italian Restaurant before walking down to Rockwall’s lakeside amphitheatre. I highly recommend the crab stuffed avocado and the sole parmesan.

The lake views are absolutely gorgeous and the concerts are even dog friendly! People bring picnic blankets and lawn chairs and as you can see, these concerts draw a huge crowd. People even drive their boats in and listen to the concert from the docks!

There’s a different band every week so you’ll always get a new show. We saw Tehano Queen Forever, a Selena tribute band that literally had the crowd dancing all night long. Everyone was having the time of their lives!

Rockwall is the free music capital of north Texas and it’s easy to see why.
