Dark Chocolate Fudge Pistachio Cookies

I spent the evening baking cookies to take to my family’s lake house. I chose this recipe because it’s chocolate, so the females will like it, and it’s salty, so the males will like it.

Is there anything better than the salty+sweet combination?

Dark Chocolate Fudge Pistachio Cookies

1 cup butter, at room temperature
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs, at room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon milk
1 cup dark chocolate chips
1/2 cup pistachios

  1. Cream the butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla together. Slowly add the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt followed by the milk.
  2. Fold in dark chocolate chips and pistachios. Refrigerate for two hours.
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and use a cookie scoop to drop cookies onto cookie sheets. Bake for 7-10 minutes. (I have a convection oven and baked this batch for exactly 6 minutes and 45 seconds.)

Happy baking,
