I spent the evening baking cookies to take to my family’s lake house. I chose this recipe because it’s chocolate, so the females will like it, and it’s salty, so the males will like it.

Dark Chocolate Fudge Pistachio Cookies
1 cup butter, at room temperature
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs, at room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon milk
1 cup dark chocolate chips
1/2 cup pistachios
- Cream the butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla together. Slowly add the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt followed by the milk.
- Fold in dark chocolate chips and pistachios. Refrigerate for two hours.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and use a cookie scoop to drop cookies onto cookie sheets. Bake for 7-10 minutes. (I have a convection oven and baked this batch for exactly 6 minutes and 45 seconds.)
