Swoon, swoon, swoon. You’ll want to dive in head first to this ginger lime beurre blanc. It’s pure heaven. A beurre blanc sauce is basically white wine, cream, and butter so it’s hardly light but the French know what they’re doing with sauces. A little of this goes a long way and adds such a special touch to any dish.
This particular beurre blanc is flavored with fresh ginger and freshly squeezed lime. Do not under any circumstances substitute powdered ginger. Powdered ginger tastes nothing like fresh ginger so just don’t do it.
I served this ginger lime beurre blanc with grilled lobster tails at my Disney Dinners: Pirates of the Caribbean party as an homage to the many beurre blancs I’ve enjoyed all over the Caribbean. It’s quite a popular sauce with fish there and so simple to make! You’ll want to make this again and again.
