The most magical digital decor of them all!
I am obsessed with this machine. I can’t even believe that I finally get to tell you about it! I’ve had my AtmosFX Digital Decorating Kit since February and have kept it a secret this whole time just to surprise you with fireworks at the Disney Dinners finale.
Disclaimer: This machine was sent to me by AtmosFX. Opinions, thoughts, ideas, and obsession are entirely my own.
The project is super simple to use and comes with all sorts of “digital decorations” (projections), many of which that are spooky for Halloween decor. If you point the machine at a corner instead of the ceiling, projections look quite 3D, adding a terrifying affect to some of the spirit projections. There are all sorts of additional digital decorations you can buy on the AtmosFX website, including Celebrations Party Time, which comes with the fireworks I used. (Side bar: there’s also a new dinosaur projection that makes me really want to have a Jurassic World party for the next movie.)
The projector comes with an SD card with fourteen pre-loaded decorations so when you buy an additional one such as these fireworks, all you have to do is download it from the website, pop the SD card out of the projector and into your computer, and drag and drop the file from the download location to the SD card. It takes seconds. Pop the SD card back in the projector and you’re ready to roll.
The projector comes with a stand, remote, and a 4×6 screen that I didn’t find at all necessarily to mount. The fireworks showed up beautifully on my ceiling. I set the projector right on the floor of my dining room doorway and tilted it as far up as it would go. Use the two rotating pieces to focus the image and you’re good to go. You can set it to run multiple projections or run one on loop. I had the fireworks loop during dessert at Disney Dinners: Snow White so that we got to eat Black Forest Cake under the fireworks. Does it get more magical than that?
The projection is super sharp and high quality. I’ve actually been projecting fireworks over my table for the better part of the year when friends are over and they all raved about how incredible it looked.
So to recap, here’s How to Project Fireworks on Your Ceiling with AtmosFX:
- Get the AtmosFX Digital Decorating Kit
- Purchase the Celebrations Party Time pack, or the individual Festive Fireworks (for wall, not TV)
- Download the fireworks file
- Take the SD card out of the projector and put it into your computer. Click and drag the fireworks file to the SD card. Place the SD card back into the projector.
- After dark (it needs to be dark!), plug in the projector, set it on the floor, tilt it up, turn it on, select Digital Decorations, C, Festive Fireworks, and enjoy the most magical atmosphere of your indoor life.
