This is hands-down one of my favorite ways to eat ground beef. I make kofta WAY more often than I make burgers. I’ve never posted a recipe before because, truth be told, I do whatever combo of spices and herbs I feel like that night BUT this is my go-to combination.
One of the reasons I love this recipe is because of how quick and easy it is. You should mix the ingredients together, put it on a skewer, and grill ’em up. I can easily do this start to finish in 15 minutes.
This also delicious with oregano, nepitella, mint, and an herb combo. Sometimes I do onion powder if I’m out of onions or just too lazy to cut into one. The possibilities are endless!

Beef Kofta
1 lbs ground beef
1/4 cup diced onion
1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 cup Italian parsley, chopped
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground pepper
- Preheat grill. You want it about 350-400 degrees.
- Spray four metal skewers with nonstick spray.
- Mix all of the ingredients together. Divide mixture into four equal portions. Squeeze each portion onto metal skewers.
- Grill kofta directly over heat for about ten minutes, turning at least once. Delicious served with tzatziki or feta cheese sauce!
