I just love a classic Rice Krispy Treat. They never get old! I particularly love them in the summer time because it’s a no-bake treat that doesn’t require the oven. I make maples ones, Mickey Mouse ones, and even mummy ones for Halloween but this is my classic Rice Krispy Treat recipe made a little festive for the 4th of July.
Don’t use too much cereal. I do six scant cups and as you can see, they’re nice and gooey without being too sticky. You could cut the treats out with a star cookie cutter to be extra festive but I opted for small rectangles with patriotic sprinkles for my pool party.
I ordered these festive sprinkles from Fancy Sprinkles. It’s a red, white, and blue combo with tiny silver stars. So cute! My favorite thing about Rice Krispy Treats is how long they last. I made these four days ago and they’ve honestly only gotten more delicious.
