I feel like Brussels sprouts get a bad rap. Have you ever had roasted Brussels sprouts? Delicious! Have you ever grown them yourself? Delightful! Have you ever had them glazed with maple syrup and tossed with bacon? Divine!

This would be easy to double, but don’t cram too many bacon strips on the sheet or you’ll have too much grease. Bacon only needs twenty minutes so add that partway into roasting the Brussels sprouts.

1 lbs Brussels sprouts
2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Maple sea salt (or regular sea salt if you can’t find maple)
Pepper
2 Tbsp maple syrup
2 strips thick cut bacon
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Trim Brussels sprouts ends and slice in half. Gently toss with olive oil, maple sea salt, and pepper. Roast on a jelly roll sheet for 10 minutes.
- Add two strips bacon on one side of the sheet. Put sheet back in the oven and roast Brussel sprouts and bacon for 15 minutes.
- Drizzle maple syrup over Brussels sprouts and toss to coat. Brush maple syrup on both sides of bacon. Roast for 5-10 minutes until done to your liking. Chop the bacon and toss with Brussels sprouts. Serve immediately.
Delicious served with my Roasted Chicken!
