Spicy Globe Basil Pesto

I used half spicy globe basil and half regular basil in this recipe and it’s just perfect. Like all basil, harvest spicy globe basil before it flowers or it’ll be bitter. The leaves are so cute and tiny but are filled with so much flavor. Don’t grow it yet? Read up on spicy globe basil here and grow it next year!

This pesto freezes wonderfully so you can enjoy a taste of summer all winter long! It’s delicious tossed with pasta for a quick dinner and goes nicely with chicken, salmon, fried eggplant, and it can really jazz up a sandwich.
